Plans for the 21st annual Anamosa
Pumpkinfest and Weigh Off are underway!
This year the event will be held in the
downtown streets of Anamosa on Saturday
October 3, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
|
|
As in the past, we are taking applications
for vendors to sell items during Pumpkinfest.
All vendor booth sites will be located
outside on Main Street with electrical
service available to most sites. A 50 foot
extension cord may be required to reach the
electric outlets. There are very limited
220 volt services available this year on a
first come basis. If you require 220 volt
service, it is your responsibility to ensure
your plugs match those available. The
Chamber will not provide electrical
cords this year or rewire any connections.
Main Street will be closed to automobile
traffic (excluding the parade) during vendor
hours. Sidewalks must remain free of storage
and booth spaces to allow visitors access to
the sidewalks. Vendors must have their
booths ready by 9 a.m. and all sales must
end at 5 p.m. Power will be cut off by 5:30
p.m., so if you need power for cleaning up,
please take that into consideration. Main
Street will be re-opened to traffic at 6:00
p.m. and all vendors must be off the street
at that time. |

Below
you will find a registration form to be
filled out completely and sent back with the
appropriate fee. Registration forms
received after September 1, 2009 must pay a
$10 additional fee. This is to discourage
late registrations that complicate our
planning efforts. Please note that fees are
due with your application and there will be
no refunds. A map showing your booth
location will be mailed to you in mid
September. If you would prefer it to be
e-mailed, please make sure you provide your
e-mail address on the enclosed form. You
should indicate a general description of the
products you intend to sell on the
registration form. Please be aware that we
reserve the right to refuse or stop the sale
of dangerous, disruptive, illegal or
inappropriate items as deemed solely by
representatives of the Anamosa Chamber of
Commerce. We further reserve the right to
restrict the sale of any items that were not
indicated to be sold on the registration
form. |

If you are a food vendor, and do not
have a license, you need to call the Jones
County Environmental Services at
1-319-462-4715 for a temporary food service
license. There is a thirty-three dollar and
fifty cent ($33.50) fee for the license. |
If you have any questions or would like
another registration form, please visit our
website at
www.anamosachamber.org or call the
Chamber office at 319-462-4879
or Doug Edel at 319-462-6031 (Security State
Bank).
We look forward to seeing you at
Pumpkinfest! |
